Perth Scorchers began strongly in the chase of 125, with openers Nicole Bolton and Elyse Villani putting on 38 runs in six overs. Sarah Aley provided the first breakthrough of the innings when she had Villani caught by Emily Leys

After the openers were dismissed, Katherine Brunt continued to lead Perth Scorchers' charge, but she kept running out of partners. She constructed a fine unbeaten 30-ball 35, but couldn't find enough support and momentum from the other end.

Katherine Brunt is dejected as she couldn't help her side get over the line. Perth Scorchers lost by seven runs.
