Morgan was dismissed for a duck before Root settled down to take England forward.

Root (84) and Stokes (73) scored 102 for the fourth wicket but fell in quick succession as England slipped to 219 for 6 by the 35th over.

Moeen Ali smashed the second fastest ODI ton by an England batsman to fire England to a massive 369 for 9.

Windies lost two early wickets but Gayle scored a 39-ball 50 to keep the runs flowing.

Gayle smashed 94 off 78 but was run out in the 27th over with Windies 176 for 4.

There wasn't much resistance from Windies after Gayle fell. Plunkett picked up 5 for 52 to seal a 124-run win for England and a 2-0 lead.
