A late collapse denied New Zealand a strong finish. The hosts ended with 271 for 7 from their allotted 50 overs.

Matt Henry had a terrific start, taking out the top-three Pakistan batsman cheaply.

Sohail and Shadab stitched a 105-run stand for the sixth wicket to give Pakistan an outside chance of a come-from-behind win.
