Harmanpreet and Athapaththu put on 47 runs for the third-wicket partnership.
Chamari Athapaththu top-scored for Supernovas with 44.
Jahanara Alam bacgged both the big wickets for Velocity - Athapaththu and Harmanpreet.
Ayabonga Khaka started Supernovas' defence of 126 with wickets of both Velocity openers, including a wicket-maiden upfront.
Shafali Verma hit ahat-trick of boundaries in Khaka's second over to get Velocity going.
After losing quick wickets in a modest chase, Veda Krishnamurthy anchored Velocity in the middle-overs with her 28-ball 29.
Veda's wicket put Supernovas on top.
Luus and Sushma put together 51 runs for the fourth wicket stand that put Velocity's chase back on track.
Sushma Verma hit a couple of sixes in her brisk knock.
Sushma fell for 34 in the penultimate over, when Velocity were only 11 shy.
Luus sealed the deal with couple of boundaries in the final over, staying unbeaten on 37.
