Devon Conway began steadily while Guptill attempted to be the aggresor.

Conway and Young put on 105 for the third wicket.

Conway kicked on at the death, finishing with 92* off 52 as New Zealand posted 210/3 on the board.

Lockie Ferguson, coming back from a stress fracture of the back, dismissed Naim in his first over.

Ish Sodhi ripped through the Bangladesh middle-order with 4 wickets for 8 runs in 2 overs. He finished with 4 for 28.

The in-form Mohammad Mithun was amongst those who fell to Sodhi, missing an attempted slog sweep.

Afif Hossain was the lone spark in Bangladesh's innings, scoring 45 off 33 to take the total past 100.
