Pant made a counter-attacking 46 in a quickfire partnership of 64 with Pujara on either side of the Lunch break.

Pujara and Iyer's 149-run stand revived India after the top-order wobble.

Shreyas Iyer brought up India's 200.

Taijul again broke the threatening partnership late in the day, denying Pujara a century by 10 runs.
