Sonu Yadav to M Mohammed, 2 runs, dropped! Vignesh is the man again at deep backward square leg, doesn't judge it well and makes a meal of a simple chance. Slower bouncer, Mohammed clubbed it high behind square on the leg-side. Gets lucky with the catch and pinches a brace

Sonu Yadav to Adithya Arun, out Caught by Indrajith!! Nicely bowled. Slower ball wider outside off, Arun wanted to power it away but couldn't connect well. Slices it to extra cover where the catch is taken comfortably. Good start to the final over for the bowling side. Important for them to finish well. Adithya Arun c Indrajith b Sonu Yadav 0(3)

D Kumaran to Ashwin, out Caught by Sonu Yadav!! Kumaran has his revenge. Fuller ball, probably not much pace on this and Ashwin went for the loft down the ground. Couldn't quite get the distance on it and found long-on with precision. Sigh of relief among the Warriors' fielders because this could have been a more damaging knock. Nevertheless, Ashwin has done really well to arrest a potential implosion. An innings that had power and placement laced in. Ashwin c Sonu Yadav b D Kumaran 42(28) [4s-6 6s-1]

D Kumaran to Ashwin, FOUR, bang! Long-on tried getting to it but was always going away from him. Fuller ball, Ashwin stays deep in the crease to lift it down the ground. Hit it flat and finds another boundary. This has been a gem of a knock thus far

4
Ganapathy to Ashwin, FOUR, he's toying with the field here, Ashwin. He knew that third man was up and delliberately tried to get the late dab very fine. Executed it beautifully to place it wide of the fielder in the ring. The Dragons are getting some surge here
17.4
4
Ganapathy to Ashwin, FOUR, didn't time this that well but gets it past backtracking mid-off fielder as it goes to the fence on a few bounces. With the field up, Ashwin just wanted to get it over the infield and didn't have to worry about holing out
17.3
6
Ganapathy to Ashwin, SIX, that's a booming hit! Raw power from Ashwin, not a sight that we're used to but it's a pleasant surprise. Slower half-tracker, he shifts back in a flash and flat-bats it high over long-on for a flat six. Clean ball-striking
17
6
D Kumaran to M Mohammed, SIX, clouted away! This is a bonus hit for the Dragons as it hasn't come from the bat of their skipper. Mohammed can pack a punch but needs to be careful because there are still three overs left. Gets a half volley in the slot and slogs it merrily over wide long-on
16.2
W
D Kumaran to Chaturved, out Caught by Suresh Kumar!! That's the end of Chaturved. The expression of Ashwin's face says it all. Horror stroke, especially with not many wickets left and quite a few overs still to come. Premeditates by shuffling across the line and only ends up flicking this aerially to backward square leg. Dolly for the man stationed there. Dragons are imploding here. Chaturved c Suresh Kumar b D Kumaran 6(4) [4s-1]

4
D Kumaran to Chaturved, FOUR, three fours in a row for the Dragons. Streaky runs this time but they'll take it. Back of a length ball outside off, Chaturved wanted to guide it with an open face but ended up getting a bottom edge that beat a diving Mani Bharathi to his right. Went very fine towards the deep where the fielder put a fine diving half-stop but couldn't prevent the boundary
16
4
Lakshmi Narayanan to Ashwin, FOUR, another fine stroke! Slower low full toss and Ashwin is ready to get across on the sweep. Makes decent contact to beat short fine leg who put in a desperate dive. Consecutive boundaries for the skipper and it's injected some sort of momentum into the innings. He needs to bat through though

Lakshmi Narayanan to Ashwin, FOUR, cheeky, very cheeky from Ashwin. He's been working on his white-ball batting a bit in recent times and this shot shows that he's improving. Slower bouncer, no room but he waits for it before ramping it over the keeper. Lovely touch

MS Sanjay to R Vivek, out Caught by D Kumaran!! Gets his man this time. Poetic justice for the bowler. After firing it in, he goes slower and drags it very wide outside off. Vivek went for the big lofted drive but could only slice in the air behind square on the off-side. Backward point and short third man were both interested, the latter eventually called for it and pouched the catch with ease. R Vivek c D Kumaran b MS Sanjay 1(3)

W
Lakshmi Narayanan to Balchander Anirudh, out Caught&Bowled!! Stunner from Narayanan! What a ripper of a catch! That's the end of Anirudh. It was the slower ball on a good length, he couldn't read it and attempted the flick early after walking down the pitch. The leading edge resulted but the highlight was the catch from Narayanan. Reacted sharply in his followthrough and flung himself to his left to take a reflex diving catch. Balchander Anirudh c and b Lakshmi Narayanan 8(11)

4
Lakshmi Narayanan to Ashwin, FOUR, elegant from Ashwin! Narayanan misses the yorker by a very small margin, the Dragons skipper just creams it through the covers. Did well to place it wide of the man at sweeper cover. Top stroke

W
MS Sanjay to Ramalingam Rohit, out Stumped!! Sanjay has his man! Was unforunate earlier on with a few chances not going to hand but takes out a huge scalp here. Saw Rohit giving the charge and fired it fuller, wider outside off. The batsman couldn't connect and Mani Bharathi has to be credited for taking this beautifully on the half-volley. That effected him a bit but still had enough time to whip off the bails. In the end, Rohit was comfortably short. This is a good phase for the Warriors. Ramalingam Rohit st Mani Bharathi b MS Sanjay 46(30) [4s-3 6s-3]

6
MS Sanjay to Ramalingam Rohit, SIX, that looked like a mishit to me but it's gone sailing over long-on for a six. Whoa! Slower and fuller around middle, Rohit got down on one knee for the slog sweep. Got a fine chunk of it to send it into the stands. Boom!
9.3
W
Lakshmi Narayanan to Hari Nishanth, out Lbw!! Much needed wicket for the Warriors. This partnership was realling looking deadly and Narayanan breaks it, just in the nick of time. Round the wicket ploy works instantly, angled it into the left-hander who went across the line a bit too much. Missed it to be pinged on the pads and though the height was slightly debatable, wasn't that bad a decision. Hari Nishanth lbw b Lakshmi Narayanan 41(27) [4s-5 6s-1]

6
Lakshmi Narayanan to Ramalingam Rohit, SIX, what a hit! It's gone deep into the stands at long-off. Rohit had stagnated a bit in recent over and this blow should fuel him a bit. Fuller and outside off, in the slot for Rohit who launches it down the ground. Again relied on timing more than raw power. Went quite a long, long way
8.4
4
MS Sanjay to Ramalingam Rohit, FOUR, that was a chance but goes down! Kumaran the culprit, not for the first time tonight. Didn't judge the run well and in the end, burst through his hands as it raced to the fence. Tossed up nicely, Rohit mistimed the loft and should have been caught, instead gets a bonus boundary
7.3
4
Sonu Yadav to Hari Nishanth, FOUR, clubbed away! Cracking stroke from Nishanth. On a good length and he rocks back in a jiffy to flat-bat it. Powerfully done and gets it wide of mid-off as well. Raced away. Brings up the 50-run stand
7
4
MS Sanjay to Hari Nishanth, FOUR, long-on was excited for a moment as he raced to his left but this just evades him to race to the fence. Was tossed up around off, Nishanth went for the slog sweep and was hitting against the wind. In the end, just about pulled it off
5.2
6
Sonu Yadav to Ramalingam Rohit, SIX, effortless strike! Sixes on the off-side are always a treat, this one is no different. Wide half-volley and Rohit reaches out to just play the lofted stroke. Just relied on timing and it fetched him maximum result. Shot!
3.4
4
Ganapathy to Ramalingam Rohit, FOUR, raining boundaries. Full and very wide outside off, doesn't need any second invitation as Rohit drills the drive through the covers with a giant front foot stride
3.2
6
Ganapathy to Hari Nishanth, SIX, that's huge! Hari Nishanth is looking ominous, a flurry of boundaries already from him. On the shorter side once more is Ganapathy and it's dispatched over deep mid-wicket with a crunchy pull. Cracking sound off the blade to clear the ropes
3.1
4
Ganapathy to Hari Nishanth, FOUR, over a leaping short fine leg fielder but he wasn't going to reach it anyway. Poor ball from Ganapathy to start, half-tracker down leg and Nishanth gets inside the line to pull it away. Was aerial, found his spot though

4
K Vignesh to Ramalingam Rohit, FOUR, pierces the gap. Lovely stroke from Rohit, gets to the flight with a stride forward and eases the drive through the stacked off-side ring. Timed it sweetly and the placement was even better. The outfield is lightning quick

W
K Vignesh to N Jagadeesan, out Bowled!! Cleans him up! Vignesh probably didn't expect it as he is late to start his celebration. This is a massive wicket. The dangerous Jagadeesan has to go. It was tossed up generously around middle and off, he wanted to go inside out over cover but the length was too full. Eventually, sneaked beneath his bat to disturb the woodwork. Just the kind of start the Warriors needed after losing the toss on what appears to be a good pitch. N Jagadeesan b K Vignesh 8(6) [4s-1]

4
Ganapathy to Hari Nishanth, FOUR, excellent stroke! The classical straight drive and it works if done well in any format. Overcooked from Ganapathy and Nishanth just eased it past the bowler. Well wide of mid-off who couldn't chase it down
1.3
Ganapathy to Hari Nishanth, no run, dropped! Kumaran the culprit at mid-off and this should have been taken even if it was a half chance. Not exactly a full ball as Nishanth went for the push-drive, couldn't keep it down and Kumaran couldn't hold it on it after diving forward. Was probably late

4
Ganapathy to Hari Nishanth, FOUR, up and over! Fractionally short from Ganapathy and that's all Nishanth needs. Shuffled a touch to pump this over mid-wicket. Clean strike

K Vignesh to N Jagadeesan, FOUR, lucky runs for Jagadeesan. Used his feet to launch this down the ground but wasn't to the pitch of it. Gets a slice that flies away fine of the fielder at short third man. Vignesh isn't amused
