South Africa win thriller to go 2-1 up:

An excellent penultimate over from Nortje who concedes only 4 and also traps Pooran in front to tilt the match in favour of South Africa. With 15 needed, five came off the first two balls of the final over bowled by Rabada, including a wide. But a dot, couple and a dot to Allen sealed the match for South Africa, who eventually won by a run after Allen struck the final ball for a six.

Russell-Nortje battle:

The pressure of the equation doesn't get to Russell, who muscles two sixes off the first two ball of the 17th over bowled by Nortje. He gets a top edge off the next that goes high in the air and Bavuma puts down the catch. Russell finally departs off the final delivery, with Markram taking a sharp, diving catch at long-on. A six for Pooran off Ngidi, and four singles, bring the equation down to 19 off 12.

Shamsi ends fine spell:

A full toss from Rabada and Russell cashes in as he sends the ball sailing over cow corner. 10 off the Rabada over while Shamsi finishes an excellent spell, conceding only 4 off his final over to finish with figures of 2-13. West Indies are 124/5 after 16 overs, needing 44 more off 24.

Pollard falls:

Pollard comes down the track to Rabada but misses a full delivery and is bowled for 1. A fine over from Shamsi follows as he concedes only 4. West Indies are 110/5 after 14, needing to score 58 more off 36, with Russell and Pooran at the crease.

Quick wickets:

An entertaining partnership, worth 33, comes to an end as Ngidi strikes in the 11th over. Holder tries to fetch a delivery from outside off and slam it over the on side. But it's a slower delivery which the batsman fails to pick and ends up top-edging it to long-on where Markram holds on to the ball. Shamsi bags his second in the next over, tempting Hetmyer with a wide delivery which the left-hander slices it to backward point where Rabada holds on to a good catch. West Indies are 99/4 after 12 overs.

Hetmyer, Holder attack the spinners:

Holder goes inside out off Linde for his first four. Hetmyer reaches out to a wide delivery on the off side to carve a six over cover in the same over, which yields 14. Markram returns for his second over and is welcomed by a six as Hetmyer puts away a short delivery with a flourishing pull. Holder decides to go big as well, clearing the long-on fence with ease. 16 off the over as West Indies move to 89/2 after 10.

Linde strikes end good stand:

A boundary for Lewis brings up the half-century stand in the seventh over. But Simmons falls in the same over, looking to force it through the off side but only getting an edge through to the 'keeper. And West Indies are trying out something new here as Holder comes out to bat at No. 3. Lewis connects a sweep but hits the ball straight to deep backward square where van der Dussen takes a good catch in the shadows. West Indies are 59/2 after 8 overs.

End of the powerplay:

Simmons hits the first six of the innings as he clears his front leg and dispatches a Rabada delivery over long-on in the fifth over. Nortje keeps it tight in the final over of the powerplay, conceding only a single. West Indies are 48/0 after 6 overs.

WI openers build steady partnership:

It has not been a blazing start but it hasn't been a slow one either. Simmons has driven Nortje through covers for a four while Lewis has gone over fine-leg for a pull off Ngidi. Meanwhile, the openers have also rotated the strike well with singles and couples. West Indies are 36/0 after 4 overs.

Good start for West Indies:

South Africa start with spinners at both ends. Linde goes for 11 in the opening over, including a straight six by Lewis. It's Markram from the other end and he starts with wides down the leg side before getting some control. Only three runs off the bat in the over but there were also five wides. West Indies are 20/0 after 2 overs.
