GUJARAT TITANS WIN

Gujarat Titans have completed a comfortable 9-wicket win, in only 13.5 overs. A dominant display with both bat and ball has allowed the defending champions to take a three-point lead from the second placed Lucknow Super Giants. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals' slide continues, losing their fourth contest in the last five games. And with no positive takeaway. More than the loss, their Net Run Rate has taken a beating even though they remain placed at fourth on the points table.

FIRST STRIKE - 71/1 in 9.4 overs

Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha's strong stand finally comes to an end. Yuzvendra Chahal outfoxes Gill with flight and dip, teasing the batter out of his crease and having him stumped. But is the contest already out of Royals' hand?

POWERPLAY - 49 for no loss

Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha have provided a strong start, which has almost killed the contest in Jaipur. While Saha has taken the aggressive route, attacking Trent Boult - who has been one of the better Powerplay bowlers - this season, Gill has been steady.

ALL OUT - 118

All that was there worth celebrating in Rajasthan Royals' innings was a 21-ball 36-run stand for the second wicket between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson. A mix up between the two resulted in the dismissal of Jaiswal and then a collapse followed. The Afghani spin duo of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed combined to bag five wicket, and bundled out the hosts in only 17.5 overs. To make matters worse, Royals have used up their Impact Substitute (Riyan Parag), and that didn't help them much either. That Trent Boult's 11-ball 15 was their second highest score only goes to prove the disappointment of their performance. However, with a three spin attack to boast, they would look to make the chase challenging for Gujarat Titans.

HALFWAY MARK - 72/5 in 10 overs

Rashid Khan has struck twice in quick succession - cleaning up Ravichandran Ashwin and trapping Riyan (Impact Substitute) legbefore to leave Rajasthan Royals reeling. Shimron Hetmyer has had to come to the crease earlier than the hosts would've liked, but he now has to offer some stability to the side in the company of Devdutt Padikkal. There isn't a lot of batting to follow after the pair.

POWERPLAY - 50/2

Rajasthan Royals have lost both their openers in the powerplay, with Jos Buttler edging Hardik Pandya to short third in the second over. Yashaasvi Jaiswal was looking good but a communication failure with Sanju Samson resulted in both the batters on the same side of the crease. Nonetheless, Sanju Samson has managed a good start and looks promising.
