Defending champions Melbourne Renegades won their second game on the trot in WBBL 2025 after completing a comfortable chase against Sydney Thunder with 4 wickets to spare.
Put in to bat, Thunder got off to a decent start with a 60-run opening partnership between Georgia Voll and Tahlia Wilson. But through the middle overs, a mini-collapse saw them slip to 79 for 4, which included big wickets of Phoebe Litchfield, Chamari Athapaththu. Anika Learoyd and Heather Knight put on a 39-run stand before the lower order chipped in to take the Thunder to 148 for 7.
In the chase, Davina Perrin hit three fours in the first over before falling off the last ball of the over while Courtney Webb and Naomi Stalenberg departed cheaply. She was well accompanied by Alice Capsey (30) and Nicole Faltum (37*) as the Renegades completed the chase with 11 balls to spare.
