Bangladesh Cricket Board have cancelled the double-header of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League matches on Tuesday (December 30).

The call was taken as a mark of respect for former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia who passed away in the early hours of Tuesday.

The two games - Sylhet Titans vs Chattogram Royals and Dhaka Capitals vs Rangpur Riders - have now been rescheduled to be played on January 4. Even though no matches were scheduled for December 31 in the original schedule, the BCB avoided the date for the postponed games to be in line with the general holiday declared by the government.

The matches scheduled to be held on January 1 and 2 will proceed as planned. The tournament began on December 26 and is set to run until January 23.
