Karnataka all-rounder K Gowtham, who skipped a Duleep Trophy game citing illness, before going on to feature in a game at the Karnataka Premier League, was dropped from the India A squad - which is slated to play against New Zealand on October 17 and 19 in Mumbai - on disciplinary grounds by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Gowtham has now been replaced by legspinner Karn Sharma.
