PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Two brilliant players showing their class for England today and playing a major role in setting up their third straight win of the competition. Looking good so far with their all-round depth. Sri Lanka are yet to register a win but they've had a rather tough set of games to start the tournament, facing India, Australia and now England. Should get easier from here. Tomorrow we have India taking on Australia in Vizag and what a game that promises to be. Do join us for it. Until then, it's goodbye from Sagar Chawla on behalf of Venky and Anurag Hegde.
Sciver-Brunt | England captain: We started off really well. Amy and Tammy showed good intent in the powerplay. At the start it looked easy to score. Then spin came on after the powerplay had finished and there was inconsistency in terms of spin and bounce and how it reacted off the wicket. Along the way we adapted as best we could. For me, batting through, it allows other people to come in and play in different ways. Felt like I could never really accelerate properly. Picking length is really important and knowing your strengths. So if your strength is playing off the front foot then recognising that and doing it as much as you can. It's about not letting spinners settle either - using the lap sweep and things like that, it's great to have in your armoury to maneuvre the field a bit more. Putting the pressure back on the bowler in different ways. She's brilliant, isn't she (talking about Ecclestone)? To be able to hand the ball to her and her bowling 10 straight overs. Not going for many runs and to pick up four wickets. Pretty special. From the time she was 16 and came into the team, we knew we had something special on our hands. She's probably really grown in the last couple of months as well. We challenged her to improve herself and make a mark on this team and for herself as well. In patches, probably haven't put it all together I'd say. Would like to have some bigger partnerships in our batting innings to make it feel a little bit more comfortable.
Chamari Athapaththu | Sri Lanka captain: We bowled really good for the most part, we struggled a bit in the last three overs and they scored 30-40 runs. Bowlers did good overall but we dropped the catch of Nat Sciver-Brunt, catches win matches. We improved a little bit (from the last game), we need to improve a lot before the next game. We will stick with our plans and execute them better. I feel my place is opening, I always bat like an opener, we have changed the batting order a bit, next game is big for us, we need to bounce back. We had eight days off, big effort from the team, as a team and as a captain that’s not an excuse, as professionals we have to play our game. (On her injury) Feeling okay, I struggled in the first over, I’m feeling okay, I have two days, hopefully I can come with my best performance.
Nat Sciver-Brunt | Player of the Match: (On the plan when she walked in) Wanted to build a partnership and build something so that the batters coming in could accelerate towards the back end. We always speak about having a set batter towards the end. Really happy I was able to do that today. Their spinners bowled very well, it was turning quite a bit, have to be precise about the shots you want to play, scoring down the ground felt like my best bet. I had thought about that (celebration) before, scoring a hundred is always special, first one as captain as well.

22:14 Local Time, 16:44 GMT, 22:14 IST: Three wins out of three for England and they go top of the table for now. Comprehensive win by 89 runs today. Sri Lanka were actually doing reasonably well in the chase but the introduction of Sophie Ecclestone in the 19th over changed the whole picture. With immaculate control on a pitch offering assistance, she ripped through the Lankan lineup and gave nothing away either. At one point, her figures were 7-3-6-4 before she went for a boundary in the next over. That spell wrecked Sri Lanka's chances of making a game of it, having done well earlier to get to 89/1 before Ecclestone came on. A similar kind of impact in the game was made earlier by Nat Sciver-Brunt with bat in hand. She made 117 in a total of 253, keeping the momentum going in the middle overs and then providing a flourish towards the end.

Smith to Udeshika Prabodhani, out Caught by Nat Sciver-Brunt!! That's the end of that. Fittingly it's Sciver-Brunt who takes the catch and puts the finishing touches on a game she dominated with bat earlier. Floated up outside off, Prabodhani is early through the drive, fails to keep it down and finds the England captain at short extra cover. Udeshika Prabodhani c Nat Sciver-Brunt b Smith 0(18)
