Javelle Glen is a right-handed top-order batsman who has been a precocious run-scorer in the West Indian circuit. He made a mark in the Jamaican U-17 team, where he scored heavily as the deputy captain of the side and has made enormous strides into the limelight of the domestic circuit.

All of 20 years old, Glen has a steady head on his shoulders, and has been drafted into the CPL for his stroke-play as a rookie player for the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Under the eye of Chris Gayle, he has been training with the side but hasn’t managed to get a game under his belt. However, as a very young batsman, he has lots of scope to graduate into the playing XI, having not even made his first-class debut yet.

These are early days yet for the young man, but given optimum nurturing and attention, a first-class debut is right around the corner, and perhaps a national call-up too, if his rise continues at the same rate.
