SUMMARY

Zulch was one of South Africa's leading batsman in 1900s but was found dead mysteriously in 1924, aged 37. He studied in Green and Sea Point High School, Cape Town and first came to notice when he scored 180 against Potchefstroom. Zulch was a right-handed batsman who had all the shots in the book to go with a tight technique.

He played most of his matches against England and Australia but never travelled to England. Both his Test hundreds came against the Aussies, one in Sydney and the other at Adelaide. Zulch played a total of 16 matches, scoring 983 runs at an average of 32.76.
