SUMMARY

Born February 20, 1857, Westminster, London, Alfred "Bunny" Lucas was a studious opening batsman. Never did he tread from the classical, text-book style batting. He scored over 10000 first-class runs to go with 155 first-class wickets in a distinguished career that last about three decades.

Lucas though played just 5 Tests without much success to show for. His cousin, Charles Lucas, represented Hampshire.
