SUMMARY

Chathura Peiris is a Sri-Lankan all-rounder who plays first-class cricket for Wayamba and Moors Sports Club. He was a part of the Under-19 side and participated in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup. He was the leading wicket-taker in the series against Bangladesh U-19 in 2009 taking 11 wickets. The following year he was named the captain for the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand. Sri Lanka successfully reached the semifinals that year with Peiris finishing as the second-highest wicket-taker with 13 scalps.

He has also played for the Lankan Cricket Club, Nondescripts Cricket Club, Schools Invitation XI, Sri Lanka Colts XI, and Sri Lanka Cricket Combined XI teams. He has over 400 runs and over 30 wickets in first-class cricket so far. He has planned to take up coaching if an international career does not work out.
