Rilee Rossouw and JP Duminy combined to put on a 178-run stand for the fourth wicket and revive South Africa's innings.

Rilee Rossouw starred with the bat, recording his third ODI century and the first one against AUstralia. He hit 14 boundaries and two sixes in 122-run knock.

South Africa lost three early wickets and were reduced to 52 for 2 in 11 overs

Australia bagged quick wickets towards the end of South Africa's innings, but the hosts managed to post 327 runs in their 50 overs.

South Africa struck back and reduced the visitors to 75 for three with Aaron Finch, Steve Smith and George Bailey heading back to the pavilion.

South Africa managed to bowl out the visitors for 296 to win the match by 31 runs and inflict a 5-0 whitewash.

Travis Head offered good support to David Warner with a 90-run stand for the fifth wicket and helped Australia remain in chase going into the last 10 overs.

Australia got off to a good start with openers David Warner and Aaron Finch putting on 72 runs for the first wicket and setting a good platform for high-scoring chase.

David Warner played a lone hand for Australia, stroking a fine 173. He won the Man of the Match for his efforts, but it couldn't help Australia chase down the total.
