Pandya struck twice - and removed Samson and Buttler - as RR slipped to 79 for 4.

Pandya (3 for 17) ended with the second-best figures by a captain in IPL final as GT were set 131 to win IPL 2022.

A total of 104, 859 fans turned up for the IPL 2022 final.

Saha fell in the second over as RR started well in the chase.

Pandya and Gill got a 63-run stand before the former was removed by Chahal.

Gill (45 not out) and Miller (32 not out off 19) smoked 47 to help GT seal a seven-wicket win. They won the IPL title in their maiden season.

Pandya has now won IPL five times.
