Stoinis to Arshdeep Singh, out Caught by Philippe!! That has gone sooo high. Slower length ball, Arshdeep is early through the slog and skies it off the leading edge. Goes a mile in the night sky and Philippe has to have his wits about him with the ball swirling around. Does well and pouches it safely. Arshdeep Singh c Philippe b Stoinis 0(3)

Stoinis to Axar, SIX, oh superb hit across the line! Steps across the stumps, gets a full one on middle and absolutely nails it over square leg. 10 off the first two balls!
19.1
4
Stoinis to Axar, FOUR, swung away across the line, finds the gap and the boundary too! Was perhaps deceived by the slower one, having to reach out well in front of the boundary. But he went through with the shot and got it right off the middle, dragging it wide of long-on
18.4
W
Nathan Ellis to Washington Sundar, out Caught by (sub)Kuhnemann!! Fails to get under this and picks out mid-off. Very full from Ellis, pace on, and Washington slices it off the outside half as he looks to loft down the ground. Main issue for him was that the length was so full that it was hard to find elevation. Ellis's evening continues to get better. Has been a brilliant spell from him. Washington Sundar c (sub)Kuhnemann b Nathan Ellis 12(7) [4s-2]
18.1
Nathan Ellis to Washington Sundar, 1 run, Philippe charges in from deep backward point but then slows down as he realises the ball was always falling short. Slower one, deceives Washington who is early through the shot and slices it in the air
17.2
4
Dwarshuis to Washington Sundar, FOUR, such a great flourish on the drive from Washington! Good length just outside off, he hits it on the up and smokes it through extra cover
16.4
W
Zampa to Jitesh Sharma, out Lbw!! Big shout for LBW as Jitesh misses the sweep. Not out given and Australia have gone for the review! Oh ball-tracking says it's crashing into leg stump - three reds - and India lose another one. From 121/2 to 136/6. Fizzed through on a good length, he gets across to sweep but misses and is struck on the thigh. Key was that the ball gripped and straightened a touch, which ensured that it wouldn't slip down leg. Jitesh Sharma lbw b Zampa 3(4)

4
Zampa to Washington Sundar, FOUR, Dwarshuis has made a meal of this. Swept behind square, he runs across in the deep and is undone by the spin. Overruns it and doesn't even get a hand
16.1
W
Zampa to Tilak Varma, out Caught by Josh Inglis!! Australia are celebrating and Tilak walks off too. Yep, a bit of glove on it. Tries the reverse-sweep, and it takes a deflection on its way to the keeper. Inglis fails with the first attempt but the rebound sits up nicely for him. India losing their way here. Tilak Varma c Josh Inglis b Zampa 5(6)
15.1
W
Bartlett to Suryakumar Yadav, out Caught by Tim David!! The ball nearly pops out but David hangs on with his fingertips! Another quickfire 20 from Surya. It's back of a length, he swings hard across the line and gets a lot of height but not much distance. David ambles across to his left at the square leg boundary and has it covered. Suryakumar Yadav c Tim David b Bartlett 20(10) [6s-2]
14.1
W
Nathan Ellis to Gill, out Bowled!! Cleaned up by the slower ball! Terrific execution from Ellis with the back-of-the-hand release. Lands on a good length, Gill tries hacking across the line but it sneaks under the bat before crashing into off stump. Stayed low perhaps as he missed it by a long way. A knock where he got off to a good start against the new ball but then struggled to raise the tempo once it got older. Gill b Nathan Ellis 46(39) [4s-4 6s-1]
13.3
6
Stoinis to Gill, SIX, not only has he cleared the longest part of the ground, he has also put it in the top tier there. Enormous hit. Breaks the shackles as he was going at only a run a ball. Good length from Stoinis, Gill swings across the line, generates great power while also keeping his shape. Flies off the middle of his bat
13.1
Stoinis to Gill, no run, Gill reviews immediately after being given out LBW! Inside edge perhaps? Yes there seems to be a deflection and it's confirmed by RTS. Slower ball floated up, he looks to flick it away and edges it onto pad
12.4
6
Zampa to Suryakumar Yadav, SIX, now this time the connection is much better, made a great crack off the bat and it has flown over the midwicket boundary. Full and wide outside off, Surya reaches out and nails the slog-sweep
12.3
6
Zampa to Suryakumar Yadav, SIX, big slog-sweep from Surya, doesn't quite get hold of it but has found the gap in the deep. Has that hit the cushions on the full? Yes, looks like it. The sweep is his go-to shot against spin and he gets a good result here
11.3
W
Nathan Ellis to Shivam Dube, out Bowled!! Dube gets in a tangle and loses his leg stump! The line from over the wicket tucked him up there. Slower off-cutter, back of a length, he looks to clip it away but his balance isn't great at the crease. Misses it completely and it goes through the gate to hit the top of leg. Shivam Dube b Nathan Ellis 22(18) [4s-1 6s-1]
10.2
6
Zampa to Shivam Dube, SIX, has the reputation of tearing spinners apart, and here he goes! It's a massive hit! Tossed up wide of off, probably the googly which takes it further away, but it can't escape the long reach of Dube. He swings hard and launches it down the ground. The ball seems to have been lost, and Gill checks the one that they're using now
8.1
4
Dwarshuis to Shivam Dube, FOUR, 128.8ks short and outside off, Dube does not overhit the cut, he opens the bat face and carves it behind square, beats the diving sweeper near the rope
6.4
W
Zampa to Abhishek Sharma, out Caught by Tim David!! Zampa strikes! He breaks the partnership and Abhishek holes out in the deep. He never got going today and wanted to take on Zampa straightaway. But this is smartly bowled. Slows it up, 82.2ks tossed up delivery and Abhishek manages to get under it, but does not generate enough power or distance, David takes it low near long-on. Abhishek Sharma c Tim David b Zampa 28(21) [4s-3 6s-1]
6.2
6
Zampa to Abhishek Sharma, SIX, first ball against Zampa and he sends it over the rope. Excellent use of the feet, does not quite get to the pitch but uses his long reach, lofts it straight down the ground and there's no problem clearing the fence
6.1
Zampa to Gill, leg byes, 1 run, drifting down leg, Gill misses the flick and the ball deflects off the pad to short fine
6
4
Stoinis to Abhishek Sharma, FOUR, Abhishek ends the powerplay with a boundary. He charges out, gives himself room and thumps this over extra cover region, couple of bounces and over the ropes. This is a good start for India..
5.2
4
Stoinis to Abhishek Sharma, FOUR, finally Abhishek connects with the pull. He has mistimed a couple but this was right off the middle. Short and banged into the surface, Abhishek pulls it in front of square and sends the ball racing to the vacant deep mid-wicket region
4.4
4
Bartlett to Gill, FOUR, what timing! Just a gentle clip and the ball races away. Gill comes down the track and the ball angles into him, he plays the clip late in front of square and there's no stopping that
3.3
4
Nathan Ellis to Gill, FOUR, nicely adjusted! Gill comes down the track and is met by a shortened length, he hops to get on top of the bounce and flat-bats it wide of mid-off. Marsh dives to his left but is unable to stop the ball from beating him
3.1
4
Nathan Ellis to Gill, FOUR, loosener from Ellis and he's been made to pay. Drifting down leg, easy pickings for Gill as he glances it to fine leg and does not bother to run. The fielder in the deep was square
2.1
4
Dwarshuis to Gill, FOUR, will that get him going? 131.9ks good length ball and Gill shimmies down, lofts it straight back over Dwarshuis and the ball has enough to roll into the rope. He didn't quite middle it but managed to get the boundary
1.2
4
Bartlett to Abhishek Sharma, FOUR, smashed! That's where he likes them - length and outside off, width to free his hands and Abhishek does not hold back, thumps it flat over extra cover and the ball bounces just inside the rope
0.2
Dwarshuis to Abhishek Sharma, 1 run, dropped! Bartlett puts it down. Good length ball around off, Abhishek steps out and backs away, has to reach for the ball and miscues the loft over backward point, Bartlett was late to come in but manages to get there, he gets both hands but does not hang on. Will that prove to be costly?
