Tickner to Adil Rashid, out Caught by Michael Bracewell!! England have been bowled out and Tickner finishes with four wickets. Short ball outside off, holds up a bit, Rashid swivels to pull. Makes pretty good contact but Bracewell hops to take a sharp overhead catch at midwicket. Adil Rashid c Michael Bracewell b Tickner 9(15) [6s-1]

Santner to Adil Rashid, SIX, another loopy ball from Santner, the length is full and Rashid hits against the spin. Plays a wristy slogsweep to dispatch it over cow corner. Wow

Tickner to Jamie Overton, out Caught by Santner!! In the air and taken! Slower ball into the deck, Overton stands tall to slap it over mid-off. The bat turns at the point of impact and the timing goes awry. Santner goes back from mid-off to take the catch. Overton batted aggressively and gets out in the 40s for the second time in as many innings. Jamie Overton c Santner b Tickner 42(28) [4s-4 6s-2]

W
Tickner to Brydon Carse, out Caught by Mitchell!! Takes on the short ball and holes out! Banged in short by Tickner and Carse fetches it from outside off to pull. Hits it flat and Mitchell gets low at deep square leg to take a good catch. England are now eight down. Brydon Carse c Mitchell b Tickner 3(9)

Santner to Jamie Overton, FOUR, flighted outside off, a touch too full from Santner and Overton batters it through extra cover. Beats the diving cover fielder to his right and no chance for long-off to cut it off either
30.1
Santner to Jamie Overton, no run, appeal for lbw as Overton misses the sweep against this in-drifter. Turned down by umpire Paul Reiffel and Santner reviews it. Is the impact outside off? Firstly UltraEdge confirms no bat, going under the blade. Over to ball-tracking and the impact is outside off! New Zealand burn a review
29.3
6
Tickner to Jamie Overton, SIX, smashed, Overton is on the move now - comes down the pitch, takes the momentum into the lofted drive - mid-on was inside the ring and this was always a safe shot, but he's cleared the ropes with sheer power
29.2
4
Tickner to Jamie Overton, FOUR, clubbed, fraction short and Overton is all over the ball - rocks back and then hammers the pull over wide mid-wicket, bounces away to the ropes in a hurry
28.4
W
Michael Bracewell to Sam Curran, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! That's gone right through a befuddled Sam Curran - was tossed up around middle and it straightened off a length - Curran was looking to work it onto the on-side with the angle, but the ball held its line, went past the closed bat-face and hit the top of off-stump - a proper off-spinner's dismissal and England continue to flounder. Sam Curran b Michael Bracewell 17(27) [4s-1]
27.5
4
Santner to Sam Curran, FOUR, cracking shot, tad too short from Santner - Curran swivels across and hammers the pull through square leg, beats the fielder in the deep for a boundary
27.2
4
Santner to Jamie Overton, FOUR, crunched, Santner drops one slower and wider of off, but it's right in the slot and Overton hammers it straight of long-off, almost went all the way, bouncing in front of the ropes
25.3
6
Santner to Jamie Overton, SIX, clubbed, tad too full and Overton brings the bottom-hand into play, leans across, brings his bottom-hand into play and shovels it over long-on for a maximum
24.2
4
Michael Bracewell to Jamie Overton, FOUR, beautifully played, tad too short and wide of off - Curran makes room uses Bracewell's pace and cuts it square behind point - it's the shorter boundary and the fielder in the deep can't cut it off, despite the dive
23.2
W
Santner to Brook, out Caught by Will Young!! That's a sharp catch at backward point and the dangerous Brook has been sent packing - a loose shot from the England captain, but this is a spectacular one-handed grab, diving to his left by Will Young. This was dropped short and wide of off - Brook was on the front-foot as he chased the drive, all hands and he doesn't bother to keep it down - was travelling and to his left, but Young threw himself, went with his left hand and grabbed a beauty. Brook can consider himself unlucky, on another day, this would've raced away to the boundary. Brook c Will Young b Santner 34(34) [4s-3 6s-1]
21.5
6
Santner to Brook, SIX, nicely played, pushed through quicker by Santner - but he's dragged it short and down leg - Brook bends down low and then pulls it over backward square leg, shorter square boundary and the ball sails over the ropes
20.3
4
Nathan Smith to Brook, FOUR, cracking shot, tad too short from Smith - Brook swivels across, picks the length early and pulls it behind square on the on-side, beating the fielder in the deep
19
W
Nathan Smith to Buttler, out Lbw!! A big shout for LBW and umpire Paul Reiffel raises the finger, it's been reviewed. Was the slower cutter and Buttler played all around it on the flick, gets beaten on the inside edge and UltraEdge confirms the same. Struck in front of off and middle, is it bouncing over? Onto ball-tracking: It's umpire's call on hitting, clipping the top of middle and will stay with the onfield decision - Buttler is OUT. England in deep trouble now - Buttler was undone by the variation, was the slower off-cutter and he played all around it as he shuffled across on the flick. Buttler lbw b Nathan Smith 9(10) [6s-1]
17.5
6
Tickner to Buttler, SIX, clobbered, back of a length and climbing onto the right-hander - Buttler gets half-forward, brings his wrists into play and then whips it over mid-wicket, the timing is very sweet and it sails into the grass-banks
17.2
4
Tickner to Brook, FOUR, aggression from Brook - comes down the pitch, makes room and carves the drive over cover-point, didn't get hold of it, but with no one in the deep, this was always a safe shot
16.1
W
Nathan Smith to Jacob Bethell, out Caught by Foulkes!! Jacob Bethell has holed out immediately after the drinks interval - lapse of concentration? But this is a shocking shot - banged in short and the left-hander, Bethell once again goes for the impulsive pull, he doesn't get on top of the bounce, no control over the shot and muscles it down deep square leg's throat - a simple reverse cupped catch for Foulkes. Jacob Bethell c Foulkes b Nathan Smith 18(28) [4s-1]
15.2
Tickner to Jacob Bethell, 1 run, just short of deep square leg - banged in short and Bethell swivelled across on the pull, went flat and towards deep square leg, but bounces in front of Young
14.2
4
Nathan Smith to Brook, FOUR, glorious shot to get off the mark. Pitched up outside off and Brook drives beautifully off the front foot to beat the diving mid-off fielder to his left
13.5
Tickner to Brook, no run, dropped! Would have been a screamer had Santner held onto it. Brook tries to put the bowler under pressure. Comes down the track and moves leg-side which allows him to free his arms. Decides to drive aerially but doesn't get the necessary elevation. Santner, at mid-off, times his jump perfectly. Goes one-handed with his left hand but the ball doesn't stick. Brilliant effort

W
Tickner to Root, out Caught by Latham!! Oh, the leg-stump line plan has worked. 135.9kph, fuller ball just down leg, Root shuffles to flick and gets it too fine as it trims the inside edge. Latham dives to his left to catch it with both hands. Big smile on Tickner's face as he gets a wicket in the very first over. Root c Latham b Tickner 25(34) [4s-3]
11.3
Tickner to Root, 1 run, 127.1kph, fullish delivery, Root clips it to deep square leg. 50 up for England with that single

7.2
4
Foulkes to Root, FOUR, dug in short, Root goes after it with a pull shot and places it behind square. Good bouncer but Root was well-equipped to put it away. Was in total control of his shot

W
Foulkes to Jamie Smith, out Caught by Williamson!! In the air and taken. Three-quarter seam delivery from Foulkes at 129.2kph, Smith shapes to hoick it across the line. Premeditated shot and he pays the price. The ball seams away slightly and lobs up in the air off the outer edge. Williamson settles under it at backward point and pouches it safely. He wanted to go reverse-cupped but changed his mind at the last moment to catch it with his fingers pointed downwards. England have lost both their openers. Jamie Smith c Williamson b Foulkes 13(17) [4s-1 6s-1]

4
Jacob Duffy to Root, FOUR, back-to-back fours for Root. Full outside off, not much feet movement from Root who leans into the drive to send it through the covers. All hands from England's No. 3 and he's timed it beautifully
2.5
4
Jacob Duffy to Root, FOUR, 127.5kph, fuller ball on middle-leg, Root puts it away. Uses the bowler's angle to clip it away through square leg

Jacob Duffy to Duckett, out Caught by Latham!! Edge and taken! 135kph, good length delivery from over the wicket that pitches on off and seams away ever so lightly. The line forces the batter to play at it and Duckett looks to defend from the crease. Only manages to get a thin outside edge and it's an easy grab for the keeper. Duffy strikes early! Duckett c Latham b Jacob Duffy 1(5)
