Chameera to Jaker Ali, FOUR, and after nailing the yorker ball after ball, Chameera misses one and offers slot. Even if you are doing so well you tend to err. Jaker backs away and drills it hard past cover for four

Pathirana to Shamim Hossain, SIX, oh flicked away nicely! Full delivery on the stumps, Shamim gets under it and smacks it high and handsome over mid-wicket
16.3
Nuwan Thushara to Shamim Hossain, byes, 2 runs, Shamim slogs and misses, oh the keeper fumbles but Kusal Perera does really well to dive to the left at fine leg and save two runs. Fullish delivery outside off stump, Shamim went hard and made no contact with the ball but they get two

Hasaranga to Shamim Hossain, 1 run, shortish delivery, Shamim flicks it to square leg

Hasaranga to Shamim Hossain, 2 runs, brilliant lofted drive inside out over cover, but long-off moves to the right and cuts it off

Hasaranga to Shamim Hossain, FOUR, back to the conventional sweep, and he's smoked it through square leg. Floated up on middle, length quite full which is less than ideal for the sweep but Shamim nails it
13.2
Hasaranga to Shamim Hossain, 2 runs, tossed up outside off, swept nicely through square leg and he's back for two as the fielder makes a sliding stop in the deep
13
Pathirana to Shamim Hossain, 2 runs, superb work from Mendis with the gloves, but even better from Shamim who propels himself into the crease with a full-stretch dive. He's made it by a couple of inches. Back of a length just outside off, he punches wide of deep point, charges back for two and is in trouble as Mendis collects and back-flicks onto the stumps from between his legs. But the dive has saved him. Absolutely threw himself into the air, stretching every sinew

Pathirana to Shamim Hossain, FOUR, finds the boundary and that will make him feel better after a quiet start. Dug in short, good height on it but Shamim still manages to get on top of the bounce as he pulls it through midwicket

Shanaka to Jaker Ali, FOUR, short delivery on the stumps, Jaker looks to pull, ball flies off the top edge and clears the keeper

Hasaranga to Litton Das, out Caught by Kusal Mendis!! Another very confident appeal from Hasaranga and he was shocked the finger didn't go up so he demanded his captain to send this upstairs. Litton takes the glove off and starts walking even before UltraEdge came up. He knew it came off the glove. "I can clearly see the ball coming off the glove," says the third ump and the replays confirm the same. Full ball from Hasaranga, the normal leggie, Litton tried the reverse sweep but it bounced off the glove for the keeper to have a simple catch. Litton managed to overturn an LBW call off Hasaranga previous over, now the bowler returns the favour with an appeal for catch. Litton Das c Kusal Mendis b Hasaranga 28(26) [4s-4]

Shanaka to Jaker Ali, 1 run, back of a length delivery, Jaker tucks it to backward square leg

Hasaranga to Litton Das, FOUR, brings out the sweep and sends it along the ground through square leg, splitting men in the deep. Well timed, well placed

Hasaranga to Litton Das, no run, the Bangladesh fans who were so gutted find their voices now. Hasaranga almost got another one with this skidder, Litton luckily inside-edged the flick onto the pad. No question about impact or direction so the ump gave it out because the edge was so faint and he couldn't pick it up

Hasaranga to Mahedi Hasan, out Lbw!! Was impact in line with off stump? Litton had a long chat with Mahedi and they weren't convincing. Hasaranga was convinced though and starting running in his appeal without even looking back at the ump as soon as the ball hit the pad. Mahedi had no clue this was the googly. Lunged forward for an oopsy I don't know which way this is going to spin so let me try to play off the front foot. Ended up playing well outside the line. Impact seems to be in line with the off stump and no doubts about ball hitting the stumps. In fact would have smashed the poles. Mahedi Hasan lbw b Hasaranga 9(7) [4s-1]

Shanaka to Litton Das, FOUR, short third man in and Litton cleverly opens the bat face to guide it past Pathirana to close out the powerplay on a high. If not for these three fours, would have been even worse for Bangladesh

Shanaka to Litton Das, FOUR, that's an aggressive slap from Litton. Runs at the bowler and gives himself some room as well. Nicely timed it to the left of cover-point, who tried to get low to the left and stop the ball but only managed to fingertip it. The ball rockets to the fence despite that. The fielder seems to have injured himself slightly in the process

Shanaka to Litton Das, FOUR, nicely chipped away! Full and on the stumps, Litton gets under it, doesn't try to hit it too hard, placed it over the infield and got the boundary

Nuwan Thushara to Mahedi Hasan, FOUR, full toss and punched nicely down the ground for four. Mahedi let this ball come to him and placed it to the left of mid-on. What a gift to get first ball

Nuwan Thushara to Towhid Hridoy, out Towhid Hridoy Run Out!! 2 runs completed. Sri Lanka get Towhid Hridoy the next ball after the dropped chance. Kamil Mishara is a sensation with the bat, but he's stole the show here with this throw. Bangladesh thought they could have another three like the last over. But Mishara ran from mid-wicket, slid, picked up the ball near the deep mid-wicket fence and released a quick throw. Towhid was definitely not expecting a direct-hit from that distance. Mind you it's a big boundary out there but the youngster stunned everyone with his accuracy. Towhid was a fair few yards away despite a full length dive. Bangladesh three down now. Towhid Hridoy run out (Kamil Mishara) 8(9)

Nuwan Thushara to Towhid Hridoy, 2 runs, this is in the air, fielderrrrr drops it! Asalanka the skipper! Clever teasing full slower ball from Nuwan Thushara as he knew the batter is under pressure to score. Towhid went for a lofted shot, sliced it high towards extra-cover. Asalanka went reverse cup over his head but didn't hold on

Chameera to Parvez Hossain Emon, out Caught by Kusal Mendis!! Edged, taken and Chameera roars. The Lankans are pumped as Bangladesh are two down for nothing in 10 balls. Short of a length delivery outside off stump, Parvez Hossain Emon was not comfortable even once to this angle across him from over the wicket. Kept playing across the line when it wasn't there and he gets a thick outside edge that goes straight to the keeper. Parvez Hossain Emon c Kusal Mendis b Chameera 0(4)

Nuwan Thushara to Tanzid Hasan, out Bowled!! Timbaah! Nuwan Thushara is a lethal weapon to the LHBs with his inswingers. Credit to him for not being bothered about Tanzid advancing previous ball. Normally bowlers may react to it and bowl short but Thushara stuck to his full inswinger and it's knocked out the off stump. Poor swipe across the line from Tanzid. Completely missed the ball and the stump went flying. Never looked comfortable against the slingy action. Tanzid Hasan b Nuwan Thushara 0(6)
