Mark Adair to Kusal Mendis, 1 run, very full from Adair, Mendis can't get under it and drills it straight back. Difficult return catch for Adair who does well to get both hands on it but it pops out
19.1
F
Mark Adair to Kusal Mendis, FOUR, swatted across the line, finds the gap and brings up fifty! Slower one from Adair and he waited for it nicely before pumping it through midwicket
18.5
W
McCarthy to Shanaka, out Caught by Mark Adair!! Shanaka gone first ball. Umpires want to check the height of it, but it looked fine in real time. Let's see what the replay says. Yes, ball-tracking confirms that it's 16 cms below the waist, and Shanaka now has the most ducks in T20Is. Full toss angling away outside off from round the wicket, he swings hard and gets a thick top-edge. Adair grabs it safely at short third. Shanaka c Mark Adair b McCarthy 0(1)
18.4
W
McCarthy to Kamindu Mendis, out Caught by Dockrell!! Finally the procession of drop catches comes to an end. Dockrell hangs onto a sitter and Kamindu's belligerent knock is over. Again he backs away and again McCarthy does well to follow him, not giving him the room to free the arms. It's a low full toss on the pads and Kamindu chips it in the air to mid-off where Dockrell takes it with the reverse-cup. Kamindu Mendis c Dockrell b McCarthy 44(19) [4s-4 6s-2]
18.2
McCarthy to Kamindu Mendis, 2 runs, full and straight, Kamindu can't get under it as he drills it down to long-on. Fielder has some ground to cover and he's back for two
18.1
6
McCarthy to Kamindu Mendis, SIX, smoked over midwicket! Slower one on off, short of length, it sits up for Kamindu who nails the pull shot over the long boundary there. Jayasuriya and Malinga are clapping hard from the sidelines. This has been some turnaround from the hosts! The last 11 balls have gone for 45!
18.1
4
McCarthy to Kamindu Mendis, no ball, FOUR, oh dear, this delivery sums up the last few minutes for Ireland. Everything's going wrong. Very high full toss above the shoulder, Kamindu swings and gets a little deflection past the keeper
18
4
Mark Adair to Kusal Mendis, FOUR, carved away through backward point! Full toss outside off, Kusal waits for it, uses the pace and finds the gap nicely
17.3
Mark Adair to Kusal Mendis, 1 run, Kusal Mendis survives again as another catch goes down! What a charmed life he's living! Slower short ball, pulls it in the air and should've been a regulation catch at deep backward square. Ross Adair only needed to run in a few yards to ensure that it came at a comfortable height. But instead he hangs back and misjudges it. Ends up needing to dive forward and puts it down
17
4
Humphreys to Kamindu Mendis, FOUR, finishes the over with another boundary! 21 off it! Humphreys goes full this time and Kamindu drills it down the ground to beat long-on to his right
16.5
4
Humphreys to Kamindu Mendis, FOUR, momentum changing over, just what Sri Lanka needed! Another boundary. Flat at the stumps and Kamindu swats it through square leg
16.4
6
Humphreys to Kamindu Mendis, SIX, another chance goes down and to make it worse for Ireland, it goes for six too! What is going on? Full in the slot, Kamindu hammers it down the ground, the straight boundary is very long here and Dockrell had the chance to grab it with both hands. He was close to the ropes which he must've had in the back of his mind, but you see these catches taken so often these days. He makes a mess of it
15.3
4
Delany to Kamindu Mendis, FOUR, finally the crowd has something to cheer! A boundary after 57 balls! Again Kamindu goes reverse, it's the googly and he hits with the turn over short third
13.5
W
Delany to Wellalage, out Caught by Dockrell!! That seems like the googly from Delany and Wellalage has perished to it. Tossed up outside off, the line is already pretty wide and it turns away further, making Wellalage's job even harder as he tries hacking it through midwicket. All he manages is a thick top-edge that is taken comfortably at long-on. Wellalage c Dockrell b Delany 10(13)
13.3
Delany to Kusal Mendis, no run, Mendis is given out LBW and goes for the review! Is that drifting down leg? Or did he get bat or glove on it? The ball is very full and it sneaks under his attempted sweep to hit low on the pad. Ball-tracking confirms it's missing leg. Was the legbreak but it didn't turn enough to counter the in-drift that was taking it down leg. Good review!
10.1
W
Dockrell to Pavan Rathnayake, out Bowled!! What was he trying to do? Trying to ramp this ball that kept so low. Was down on his knee to guide this towards third man, but the ball keeps straight, low and it shatters the stumps. Never looked in his elements did Pavan Rathnayake. Sri Lanka in a spot of bother as they are three down. Dockrell bowling an excellent spell, he has taken two wickets and hardly conceded any runs. The spinners are absolutely dominating this middle phase. They aren't able to rotate the strike freely and they're not able to score boundaries either. No boundary since the Powerplay got over. Pavan Rathnayake b Dockrell 5(9)
8.2
W
Dockrell to Nissanka, out Caught by Stirling!! The partnership has been broken. A lot slower through the air outside off, Nissanka slaps it hard towards cover, and Stirling stationed there takes a sharp catch to his left. Nissanka walks back after playing a rusty knock. The spinners are not allowing the batters score freely. The pressure was mounting due to the dip in the run rate and both the openers - are not back in the pavilion. Nissanka c Stirling b Dockrell 24(23) [4s-1 6s-1]

4
McCarthy to Kusal Mendis, FOUR, three boundaries from the 6th over! This was fraction short outside off and Kusal Mendis played it late, steering away to the deep point boundary. Sri Lanka - 50/1 (6 overs)
5.4
4
McCarthy to Kusal Mendis, FOUR, second boundary of the over! Back of a length delivery around middle and leg, tad slower, Kusal Mendis drags it towards wide mid-on and manages to beat the fielder's dive who was moving across. The fielder in the deep couldn't get there across either
5.2
4
McCarthy to Kusal Mendis, FOUR, nicely done! Back of a length delivery around middle and leg, Kusal Mendis whips it through square leg for his first boundary of the innings. McCarthy looks surprised, but it wasn't a great delivery either
4.3
6
Humphreys to Nissanka, SIX, that has gone the distance! Fraction short and Nissanka goes down on his knee to swipe this over deep square leg as the ball clears the boundary comfortably
4
W
Mark Adair to Kamil Mishara, out Caught by McCarthy!! An excellent cutter by Mark Adair and he has broken the opening partnership. Tad short outside off, sticks into the surface and shapes away. Kamil Mishara gets deceived due to the lack of pace as he plays at it tentatively. Ends up chipping it straight towards mid-off due to half-hearted attempt, and McCarthy stationed there holds on to a safe catch. For a moment, he lost the ball in the background, but manages to take it eventually. A wicket and only one run in that over by Mark Adair. Kamil Mishara c McCarthy b Mark Adair 14(11) [4s-2]
2.1
4
McCarthy to Kamil Mishara, FOUR, Kamil Mishara is off to a positive start. Pitched up by the bowler as Kamil Mishara drills it right past McCarthy powerfully. Was in the air, but the bowler had no time to react, hence he couldn't get his hands to it
1.4
4
Mark Adair to Kamil Mishara, FOUR, easy pickings! Drifting on the pads, Kamil Mishara flicks it over mid-wicket for his first boundary. Was a loose ball and the southpaw made the most of it
1.1
4
Mark Adair to Nissanka, FOUR, a slight misfield at covers! This was fraction short outside off and Nissanka punched it towards cover. The fielder stationed there moves across to his left to stop it, fails to stop it though. Results in a boundary eventually
