Shreyanka Patil's return to competitive cricket has been further delayed, consequently ruling her out of India A's multi-format tour of Australia in August. The all-rounder was a part of the original touring party subject to fitness clearance from the NCA. However, her Return-to-Play date has been pushed forward by over a week, essentially delaying her fitness clearance at least until the start of the T20 series in Australia, starting August 7.

Alongside Patil, legspinner Priya Mishra has also been sidelined from the tour due to an undisclosed injury. "Both players remain under the care of the BCCI Medical Team at the Centre of Excellence and are currently undergoing their Return-to-Play protocols," stated a BCCI release.
