Mohammad Salahuddin, Bangladesh's assistant coach, is all set to step down from his position after the upcoming home series against Ireland.

Salahuddin, who joined BCB on November 5, had an agreement till the 2027 World Cup but decided to step down on personal reasons after completing one year with the national team.

Cricbuzz learnt he had already sent the resignation letter to the board as he is not enjoying his role, and the leading local coach of the country admitted the development.

"Yes, I am resigning," Salahuddin told Cricbuzz on Tuesday without elaborating further.

Salahuddin, who has been overseeing the batting unit ever since BCB decided to part ways with David Hemp, is at the receiving end due to the bad performance of the team recently.

This led to the BCB recently appointing Mohammad Ashrafulas batting coach of the national team for the Ireland series.

Ireland are expected to arrive on November 6 and will play two Tests and a three-match T20I series during their tour. The opening Test is scheduled in Sylhet from November 11-15 while the second Test is slated in Dhaka from November 19-23.

The three-match T20I series is scheduled to be played in Chattogram respectively on November 27 and 29 while the third game will be played on December 2.
