The second Test between Bangladesh and Ireland experienced a temporary halt of play on Day 3 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium after an earthquake of 5.7 on the Richter scale shook Dhaka and the surrounding regions of the Bangladesh capital.
The incident occurred during the second ball of the 56th over of Ireland's first innings. It led to an immediate stoppage of play for around three to four minutes as the players ran towards the boundary line while spectators in the stadium had a visible look of panic on their face.
Play subsequently resumed after that stoppage. At the time of publishing, Ireland reached 233/7 in 78 overs trailing Bangladesh's 476 by 243 runs.
