The International Cricket Council (ICC) will hold its annual conference in Edinburgh, Scotland, this year. Tentatively, it is scheduled from July 8 to 11. The venue was confirmed at a recent online board meeting. The meeting will be steered by Jay Shah, the ICC Chair.

The annual conference immediately follows the Women's World Cup, scheduled between June 12 and July 5 in England. The ICC members, who are expected to be present for the final at Lord's, will proceed to Scotland.

Among many regular points, the election for the Associate Board directors will be held during the Edinburgh meet. Three members from the Associate nations will be elected to the 17-member board. The election is expected to see a host of candidates from Associate nations joining the fray.

Rwanda Cricket Association head Stephen Musaale, Cricket Namibia president Dr Rudie van Vuuren, Bermuda's Neil Speight, USA's Sankar Renganathan, a few current Associate members of the CEC, including Gurumurthy Palani, and sitting Associate directors Mubashir Usmani, Mahinda Vallipuram and Imran Khwaja (Dy Chair) are expected to be in the fray. The term will be for two years.

Cricbuzz has reached out to the ICC for a formal confirmation.

The ICC, meanwhile, conducted its board meeting virtually, after it was postponed from its March 25-27 schedule in Doha, Qatar, due to the ongoing West Asia war.
