After the bowlers had a good work out, the Indian batsmen will look to leave their mark on Day 2 of the practice game against Cricket Australia Invitational XI at Adelaide. On Day 1, all the bowlers took wickets. In particular, Varun Aaron and Bhuvneshwar Kumar impressed.

When India came out to bat Shikhar Dawahn got out cheaply and more worryingly he was yet again caught in the crease with his feet moving nowhere. Murali Vijay looked in fine touch. Cheteshwar Pujara too played well.

For Cricket Australia Invitational XI, Carters scored a fine fifty. Kelvin Smith essayed an enterprising innings of 40.

On an overcast morning, both the overnight batsmen, Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara, played some fine drives and looked set to get a big score. It should be a good work out for two batsmen who are key to India's chances of doing well against Australia.
