Bangladesh managed to take an early lead but Afghanistan will have a crack in less than 24 hrs to comeback! We will be back as well to cover that. See you then as it is bye bye for now. Take very good care!!! Ciao...

Jaker Ali: I was just sitting relaxed in the dressing room. It can happen in international cricket. Very good finish by the boys. We started well. Cricket is a funny game. They came hard. Winning and losing is a part of the game. There are areas needed to improve in bowling and batting. The way we started, the bowlers did a good job like the Asia Cup. But we leaked some runs. Winning has given us confidence and we are looking forward to tomorrow's game.

Rashid Khan: To come back from where they started, they needed only 50 in the last 8 overs, was a huge effort by everyone. I still feel we couldn't finish as we wanted. You can't lose momentum in T20s when you have it. I think 170-180 could have been done. Shot selection was a thing which cost us during the Asia Cup. It is not abou skills, it is about game awareness. Throughout the Asia Cup, we threw the wickets and even here. Hopefully, we will learn and get better. The main focus in on the WC. Bring your natural game on. If you want to take your time, do that. Those want to play attacking cricket, do it. Bring your own game is what I tell them. I think we haven't bowled well in the first 6 or 10 overs. We have to bowl at the sticks. We have to hit the stumps with the ball and keep attacking the sticks.

Parvez Hossain Emon, Player of the Match: We enjoyed the opening partnership. I was just trying to play the shot as per the merit of the ball. Rashid did well. Nurul Hasan did well to finish it. We will try our best for the rest of the series.

22:08 Local Time, 18:08 GMT, 23:38 IST: Afghanistan fought hard but their fielding and some sloppy bowling early on has costed them this game. Rashid did well to bring his team back into the game but the mayhem he created in the middle period was never enough as Rishad Hossain and Nurul Hasan saw their team through with some brave batting at the end. Emon and Tanzim got fifties at the top and Bangladesh added 109 for the first wicket but then in an explicable manner slipped to 118 for 6 before Rishad Hossain and Nurul Hasan took charge. Rashid did the bulk of the damage with his four-fer and was well supported by Noor. The wrist spin was tough to handle and Bangladesh batters had no answers for a brief period. Earlier, Afghanistan battled an early collapse to get to 151. But then they dropped more than couple of catches and that allowed the Bangladesh batters off the hook. Bangladesh have taken a 1-0 lead with two more games to go. The series has been set up so well.

18.4

Azmatullah to Rishad Hossain, FOUR, top-edge and four. Those are the winning runs. Bangladesh have won this by 4 wickets. Rishad Hossain and Nurul Hasan have managed to see them through. Bangladesh go 1-0 up in this series. Was a short ball, Rishad Hossain looked to pull and got a top-edge for the ball to go over the keeper

18.3

Azmatullah to Nurul Hasan, 1 run, short ball, outside off, steered down late and landed on the bounce to third man for a single

18.2

Azmatullah to Nurul Hasan, SIX, and scooped over third man. Was a fuller ball, Nurul Hasan sat down, got under the ball and scooped it. Lovely improvisation from the batter. That should be the game for the Bangladesh unit

18.1

Azmatullah to Nurul Hasan, SIX, fuller length delivery, outside off, Nurul Hasan gets under it and launches it over long-on. Poor delivery, slower one, Nurul Hasan used the long handle to send it packing

Azmatullah Omarzai [2.0-0-15-0] is back into the attack

17.6

Fareed Ahmad to Rishad Hossain, FOUR, top-edge and goes over the keeper! That was banged in short, angled in, Rishad Hossain looked to pull and got top-edge. The ball went over the leap of the keeper. 16 needed now as 11 comes off that over. There was a man at short fine and the bumper actually wasn't a great idea. The batter gloved that but got it over

17.5

Fareed Ahmad to Nurul Hasan, 1 run, slower one, outside off, chopped down into the off-side. Nabi got to the ball and hurled the throw at the batter's end but missed the sticks. Rishad Hossain gets in

17.4

Fareed Ahmad to Rishad Hossain, 1 run, angles it in, Rishad Hossain tucks the ball down to mid-wicket and they steal a single. The bowler and Nurul Hasan did collide but a handshake post the run being completed settles the issue

17.3

Fareed Ahmad to Nurul Hasan, 1 run, sits down, looks to get behind the line of the delivery and slog sweep it but gets it off the cue-end of the bat for a single

17.2

Fareed Ahmad to Nurul Hasan, FOUR, short ball, outside off, poor delivery, Nurul Hasan has ample time to go back and pull it behind square for a four. He managed to find the gap really well. Bangladesh back in this. 23 needed off 16 balls now

17.1

Fareed Ahmad to Nurul Hasan, no run, drops it short, angled in, Nurul Hasan looked to chop it away but misses

Fareed Ahmad Malik [2.0-0-15-1] is back into the attack

16.6

Sharafuddin Ashraf to Rishad Hossain, FOUR, and gets the pull into the gap for a four. That was dropped short, Rishad Hossain went back and pulled it between long-on and deep mid. Poor ball and the chance that he has got in this over, Rishad Hossain will look to make it count. 27 needed now

16.5

Sharafuddin Ashraf to Nurul Hasan, 1 run, pulls the ball down to deep mid for a single

16.4

Sharafuddin Ashraf to Rishad Hossain, 1 run, flatter on the sticks, nudged down for a single
