South Africa have begun really really well here. Both de Kock and Rossouw have played out the bowlers with ease. South Africa have cruised to 66 for no loss after ten.

After the Mortal Kombat meted out to the Aussies by Quinton De Kock, South Africa would try to pin them further on the mat with another clinical display. The first ODI was a one-man show and with so many match winners in both the sides, a similar script for the second one cannot be ruled out. To fortify things for the South Africans, Hashim Amla might return to the side. Australia on the other hand have plenty of problems to fix in their bowling department. Johannesburg has always been a belter of a batting wicket and the paradise for the batsmen will remain the same. Toss and other updates in a wee bit...

his first wicket! Smith goes for 14. AUS 29/2 (6.1…

Length ball and takes Warner right in front. He should have been playing forward but stays on the crease and fails to connect. The South Africans think this is plumb. Replays show it was pitching outside leg. Good decision really and it was way outside leg. To be honest, this was a poor review call from the hosts.

Australia 55 for 2.

Uh, oh! South Africa now have a firm grip in this contest. Nothing shot really from Bailey. Full and outside off, nips back in just a touch and takes the off stump. He was no where close the ball. Australia have been reduced to 55 for 3. In such clashes, a lot of times the second innings becomes a formality. This contest too heading in the same direction. Can Mitchell Marsh stage a remarkable comeback with Warner? I certainly don't think so.

All one way traffic. South Africa are firmly on top with regular strikes. Shortish ball down the leg side, takes the glove on the way before de Kock completes the catch. Travis Head walks out to bat. Australia have been reduced to 87 for 4.

There's the positive that captains talk about in the post match press conference. There haven't been too many for Australia though in the two matches so far in the series. Warner gets to his fifty off 55 balls with a single to the on side. Australia are trying to make a match out of it and have reached 113 for 4 in the 21st over.

JP Duminy gets the big one. Nothing in the delivery really to trouble Warner. Length ball on the stumps, Warner rocked back, took a good hard look and then pulled it straight to Miller at short midwicket. He did try to keep it down but Miller takes a good low catch. With that wicket, there goes Australia's chance of making a match out of this one.

Australia 114 for 5.

Rabada strikes and takes Head down. Full and on the stumps, the left-hander walked across to flick it. Looked in front but Head still went for the review. The umpire had already ruled in favour of South Africa and replays showed the ball was clipping the leg stump. With this wicket, the 69-run stand comes to and end.

Australua 183 for 6.

And there goes Matthew Wade. Short ball from Parnell and the left-hander pulls it straight to Duminy at midwicket. The Australian chase is falling apart. Actually, scratch that, the chase never really got going.

Australia 185 for 7.

Imran Tahir gets rid of Mennie to get his first wicket of the match. Full and straight, pushed through a bit. He wanted to pull that one but fails to connect and has his wood work disturbed. South Africa just two wickets away from a 2-0 lead and a comprehensive win.

Easily done. Faf du Plessis ton gave the hosts a daunting target before the bowlers wrapped up the win and seal a 2-0 lead. Australia's inexperienced bowling line-up is hurting them and the batsmen, albeit the batting friendly conditions, were left too much to do with. Rillee Rossouw missed a golden opportunity to score a ton while Duminy was a bit unlucky not to get there.

Not too many positives for Australia really. Warner and Head fought hard but with the top order contributing next to nothing in this tall chase, they were only heading one way - towards a loss.

That's it from us folks! Until next time then ...
