Getting started

Everything that has gone wrong for Delhi Daredevils on the field took a backseat the moment Gautam Gambhir came out in a press conference to announce his decision to quit as their captain with immediate effect. Since then, there have only been speculations if Gambhir was forced to do so, if it was his own decision, if Shreyas Iyer who has been named the new skipper is the right choice, so on and so forth. Amid this, Shreyas will do well to not lose sight of his team's goals and even before the feeling had sunk in, he is expected to fix a lot of issues that DD are grappling with already.

For KKR, it's been a mixed season. Three wins and three losses so far. As Karthik mentioned in one of the post-match presentations, the big positive for his side is slowly, the missing links are falling in place. The batting has worked out well so far, while the spinners have done well to cover up for the loopholes in the pace department. However in the last few games, Tom Curran and Shivam Mavi have just about managed to elevate their game a bit. All said and done, they still remain some distance away from being a complete unit.
