PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's all from here for this one. We will be back with more cricket soon. Do join us then. For now it's bye bye from all of us here.
Mitch Santner | New Zealand captain: (lots of contributions) Yeah, there was. I think that was the most pleasing thing. Different guys stepping up at different times, especially in a five-match series is pretty key. Yeah, I think it was a very scrappy win, but nice to be on the right side of one. I think it's always a challenge when you come up against such a team that bats so deep. And we know they've got power all the way through. So I guess our main goal is to try and keep taking wickets even though they had a partnership from 8 and 10 there. I think, yeah, we probably should have got 190 at least, maybe. But then I think the way the boys started, when it's swinging, we're nice. Then when it's not, obviously, Ish, outstanding again. And the boys adapted quickly with cutters. And I think even at the end, they had bouncers and slowies and yorkers. It was nice to watch. (on Jamieson) I think that's it. I mean, the more you put yourself in these opportunities or these chances, you're going to learn from it all the time, obviously. And KJ, twice in two days, probably won't do it every day. But, you know, you bank that experience for what's coming up. You might be in a similar situation in the World Cup when the game's on the line. So, yeah, the only problem for KJ, if he keeps doing it so well, he's going to have to keep doing it. But, yeah, no, obviously, I think as a unit, the bowlers were outstanding.
Shai Hope | West Indies captain: If you've taken it to the last over, so that means you're always in the contest. Just unfortunately, we're not coming up on the winning side of the last two, but still a lot of positives to take from the last two games, especially. But yeah, happy for this one. (on Springer) He's known now as a death-over specialist. Shown that he's got the ability to come and restrict teams in the back end. We did so really well today with the ball, and certainly got some power in him as well. So, it's great to see him showing his all-round game today. Same with Romario, they both came to the party. Just unfortunate we didn't get the start we wanted there to make it a little bit easier for them in the back end. But again, so many positives from this one.
Ish Sodhi | Player of the Match: It’s been nice to come in and contribute over the last couple of games. It’s always special playing here at Saxton Oval - the wicket’s probably a bit drier than what we’re used to in New Zealand, so there’s definitely a bit there for the spinners. You could see that today with us bowling ten overs of spin. (working on lately) I think it’s just about rhythm. You bowl ten-over spells in the Ford Trophy, get into that groove. In T20s here in New Zealand, especially early in the season, you can sometimes go two or three weeks without bowling in a game. So, getting that consistency in my run-up and release has been really helpful - that’s something I’ll keep building on. (another thriller) Absolutely. The heart rate’s been up there! The crowd’s been amazing, and the West Indies have such power in that lower-middle order. It’s been great entertainment all series. Nice to be on the winning side today, and hopefully we can do something similar tomorrow.
16:51 Local Time, 03:51 GMT, 09:21 IST: Yet another tremendous fightback but twice in two games, West Indies have fallen short. The all-too familiar collapse and no-one staying long enough hurt West Indies. Duffy and Sodhi outstanding as they did the damage to leave West Indies at 68/6 and 88/8. When the game looked to be done, the strength in West Indies' batting lineup showed as Shepherd and Springer added 78 for the 9th wicket. When they were ahead, a sharp catch sent Springer back and again Jamieson held his nerve to win it for New Zealand against the rampaging Shepherd. West Indies would feel with a little bit more common sense batting from the top and middle order, they should already be winning this series. Instead they trail 1-2. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...

Jacob Duffy to Shamar Springer, out Caught&Bowled!! Another twist. Shepherd punches the ground with his gloves in disappointment. Length delivery on off, Shamar Springer hits it hard and Jacob Duffy somehow takes it low to his left. Had the hands in position and takes it. Sharp take. End of a fine stand.
