PLAYER OF THE MATCH
So that's it from a closely-fought Melbourne derby. The day's second game is already underway at Perth Stadium. Do switch tabs to catch all the action there. Goodbye!
Josh Brown | Player of the Match - I mean, when you're out there, you can't really hear what's going on, and you've got the people yelling at you. It's just a little bit quiet and a little bit nice sometimes, but it's like a 66,000-inch rock. It's the biggest crowd I've ever played in, so it's pretty special. I mean, we got pretty close last year, but Maxi took it away from us. So, yeah, first win for myself is just pretty special.
21:22 Local Time, 10:22 GMT, 15:52 IST: Phew that was a lot of fun. Every few minutes you could feel the momentum change, particularly towards the last few overs in that run-chase. Renegades were cruising at one stage with Josh Brown playing superbly for his 84 off just 48 balls. They needed just 46 off six overs when he was dismissed and there were still 8 wickets in hand. But his dismissal by Swepson sparked a dramatic turnaround with Stars roaring back into the contest with 4 wickets for just 21 runs. Suddenly they seemed like the favourites as the runs dried up and wickets tumbled. But Renegades captain Will Sutherland delivered the goods in the final over with a couple of cracking sixes to get them over the line. Much needed win for his team who double their win tally for the season.

Stoinis to Sutherland, SIX, pumped down the ground and Sutherland has done it! Renegades get over the line after a cracking Melbourne derby which went back and forth between the teams. Sutherland is presented with the mace by Shane Warne's son and it's a win they desperately needed to not fall too far behind in the race for the playoffs
19.4
Stoinis to Matthew Spoors, 1 run, hard length around off, Spoors backs away to cut and gets a thick edge that flies past the keeper. The field placement is perfect with third man quite fine, only a single

Haris Rauf to Oliver Peake, out Oliver Peake Run Out!! 1 run completed. Superb throw from the deep and makes Peake pay for taking the risk of going for the second. Full on the pads as Rauf follows him down leg. It's flicked nicely, straight to deep backward square though and Peake still goes for two. Can't make it. The throw is flat and on the bounce to the keeper. Oliver Peake run out (Macdonald/Sam Harper) 10(5) [6s-1]
Haris Rauf to Oliver Peake, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!

Haris Rauf to Oliver Peake, 2 runs, miscued from Peake, that's gone a mile up in the air, fielder settles under it and drops it! Slower one again and he was through the slog early, getting it right off the toe-end. Went straight up and the fielder at short midwicket couldn't hang on
