For a good part of the chase it looked like the Heat might pull off the lowest successful defence in BBL history. Wasn't to be. That's all from this low-scoring yet fascinating contest at Coffs Harbour. Until next time, it's goodbye!
Davies | Player of the Match: We were fortunate enough to bowl first. It came on a bit better in the second innings. Got ourselves in a bit of trouble, happy to get the win in the end. The fast bowlers set it up and made my job easier. I came in bowling to new batters who weren't looking to go after me. When I first got out there with Moises, he said we just need to bat. Same with Hayden.
22:34 Local Time, 11:34 GMT, 17:04 IST: "I haven't played in a game like that before," says Davies who is Player of the Match. It was a very unusual T20 game indeed on a two-paced pitch with variable bounce. Heat stuttered and stumbled on their way to 114/9 after being put into bat, and at one point in the chase it seemed like they had more than enough. Even with the dew around, Sixers collapsed in a heap to find themselves at 56/7. But Hayden Kerr and Joel Davies kept their heads under pressure. They didn't try anything fancy, just knocked it around to take the game deep, and eventually batting became easier as they got their eye in. It helped that there was a fair amount of dew on the field as well, making it hard for the bowlers and fielders. Much needed win for the Sixers as they now climb into the top half of the table.

Ollie Patterson to Hayden Kerr, SIX, emphatically pulled over the midwicket boundary to seal the win! Hayden Kerr and Joel Davies lead an incredible recovery for the Sixers to take them over the line. They were down and seemingly out at 56/7, but the two of them batted so smartly, taking their time, steadying the ship and not looking for anything fancy. Just kept their heads and knocked it around to take the game deep. It got easier as they went on and eventually they got the job done with 8 balls to spare

Ollie Patterson to Joel Davies, 1 run, low full toss on the pads, glanced to short fine and they're through for a single

Ollie Patterson to Joel Davies, FOUR, big shout of "yeahhh" from Davies as he finds the gap! What a knock this has been. Full and wide, slower one perhaps, he reaches out and crunches it through extra cover
Patterson looks at the footholes while walking back and one of his teammates brings some sawdust for the area.

Ollie Patterson to Joel Davies, wide, another wide down leg. Was the short ball this time but couldn't get it on target

So the Power Surge is now mandatory. 12 needed off 12. Two fielders in the deep are at backward square and midwicket

Still not taking the Surge. Leaving it for the last two overs.
