By virtue of this win, the Perth Scorchers will host the Qualifier on Tuesday. If the Sydney Sixers beat the Brisbane Heat tomorrow, the Scorchers will face them. Should the Sixers lose, it will be Perth up against the Hobart Hurricanes. With one final league game remaining, join us tomorrow to see who claims spots two, three, and four. Until then, cheers!!
Jhye Richardson | Player of the Match: It’s awesome. The crowd tonight was 48,500, and it was an amazing atmosphere. We play good cricket here, and hosting the final is a big advantage for the home team. I can’t wait. The power surge can go either way. You can score a lot of runs, but it’s also a good opportunity with the ball. Credit to Hardie for an outrageous catch - probably the best I’ve seen this year. Hopefully we can recreate this performance on Tuesday night. We’ll need to do it just as well. Finny (Allen) was outstanding. Back-to-back performances are one of the hardest things to do in cricket. Consistency is the hardest part of the game. Chasing 130 can be tricky, but he handled it really well. Hardie played a great innings around Finny, and full credit to him. If we can produce a similar performance on Tuesday night, we’ll be in a good position. We love playing here, and teams don’t always enjoy travelling to Perth. Having a few days here helps us.
20:19 local, 12:19 GMT, 17:49 IST: Much like their opponents, the Scorchers lost three early wickets, but they recovered superbly from that point. Finn Allen took responsibility and anchored a near 100-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Aaron Hardie. The pair never looked rushed, focusing on rotating the strike and keeping the scoreboard ticking, aided in part by a couple of dropped chances. Allen impressed with his authoritative pulls, while Hardie played the supporting role early on, taking his time and targeting the off side for boundaries. Haris Rauf was the standout bowler for the Stars, but the rest struggled to maintain consistency. Overall, it was a commanding performance from the Perth Scorchers in front of their home crowd...

Peter Siddle to Finn Allen, out Caught by Maxwell!! Maxi looks relieved. It was a slower short ball from Peter Siddle. Finn Allen had to fetch the pull from wide of off and he smashed it flat and straight to the fielder at deep mid-wicket. Maxi ambled back a fraction and took the reverse cup above his head.
