PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's all from this game. JSK have missed their chance to seal qualification, and it'll all come down to their final league game against Paarl Royals to see if they can make it through. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Goodbye!
Rutherford | POTM: It's definitely my best, would put it up there. Pretty tough wicket. The ball was doing a lot. The conversation was about showing good intent and trying to play safe shots. I know once Brevis and me are there, we can do some damage.
Maharaj | PC captain: Played in an amateur game where we won from 30/6 but never in a T20 like this. The class of the players shone through. Couldn't ask anything more as a captain from a character point of view. Obviously at the start it was pretty quiet. The wicket was tacky and it went a bit. Knew if we could get 130-140, there was enough in the wicket. At 7/5, we would've taken 100. Kudos to Brevis and Sherfane, the way they identified the right balls. The wicket wasn't getting better, it was getting slower and more tacky. The feedback from the batters was that 140 was competitive. The wicket offered too much assistance, didn't have to try too much. Big morale booster. Still don't think we're playing our best cricket.
Ferreira | JSK captain: Not really sure (about his shoulder), will do a full scan in the morning and take it from there. We tried to keep on striking (with the ball). Credit to Brevis and Sherfane. Tough playing cricket on a wicket like that where you don't know what you'll get. Credit to those two but I don't think the wicket was very good. The wicket was turning. Keshav and Chase bowled well. Tough playing on a wicket like that. It's a completely different venue so it's about focussing and getting plans in place for that.
21:31 Local Time, 19:31 GMT, 01:01 IST: What a turnaround from Capitals! They were 7/5 with the bat earlier after losing the toss. To come back and eke out a 21-run win from that position is incredible. A lot of credit for that goes to the pair of Brevis and Rutherford who notched up fifties on a treacherous pitch. The total of 144 that they achieved was a remarkable effort and Super Kings just never looked like getting there, especially with Maharaj and Chase ripping it everywhere. They gave away just 26 off their 8 overs combined while picking up four wickets between them.
