PLAYER OF THE MATCH
This tournament is just at its halfway point and the Vipers have qualified for the playoffs already. Tells you how dominant they've been so far, winning six straight games. Capitals are still in third place, so all isn't lost. That's it for now. Until next time, it's goodbye.
Curran | Player of the Match: Winning the game to be honest (what gives more satisfaction - batting or bowling?). We're in a nice place, have put two really good games together. The satisfying nature of taking the team over the line. Credit to the staff and the way they've built this franchise, keeping seven players from last year, lot of consistency. Thing that helps with player's confidence and role clarity and things like that. Wickets have played differently so we've been able to do the odd tactical change. Know we have to keep getting better each game.
Ferguson | Vipers captain: Again we had different players in the group stand up. Sam was outstanding with the ball. Noor's been great for us this whole time. Nice to see Hasan get a few out of the screws. Has a nice golf swing, doesn't he. I have to get him on the course. Every game we play is important. We're still developing as cricketers but the group's enjoying their time together. Obviously we've had a good start to the tournament but we all talk about how you finish. After last year we've got to right a few wrongs. Long way off there, got to see how Tuesday goes and go from there.
Shanaka | Capitals captain: I think toss is a factor as well but at the same time we need to show more intent as well. I felt it's enough with the way they bowled. But when it comes to our spinners, they didn't bowl the length we wanted. If they could've bowled well, results could've been different. They've been a very strong side. Their bowling looks so good on these wickets. They have five genuine bowlers. At the end of the day it's about how we post the score in these situations. Could've scored 10-15 more.
22:04 Local Time, 18:04 GMT, 23:34 IST: Vipers maintain their perfect record in this tournament. They've made it six out of six and are through to the playoffs. Curran and Noor were brilliant with the ball earlier in the evening, and then Curran showed up with bat as well, hitting an unbeaten fifty to take his team home. Another win for the chasing side in Dubai which has largely been the trend. Hang around, we'll have the presentations soon.
