PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's it from this Group B encounter at Harare. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, it's goodbye!
Thomas Rew | England captain: Felt like we were under par at the halfway stage. Was a little bit low but have to say a huge thank you to the groundsman. Getting a game was unreal. Big thing for us was not moving away from the top of the stumps. Backed it up in the field. Some good catches. We took some momentum from those first two warmup games. We're in good shape. Great to win our first game.
Farhan Yousaf | Pakistan captain: Learnt a lot of things for the next matches. I believe in my middle order batters, will play well in the next matches.
17:27 Local Time, 15:27 GMT, 20:57 IST: England have comfortably defended their total of 210 on a pitch that was very challenging for the batters. The variable bounce never allowed them to feel set and you can see that from how regularly wickets fell. What England's bowlers did well was to hit the pitch hard, starting with Alex Green who got rid of both the openers. He had good support from James Minto and the spinners chipped in as well. At one stage with Pakistan on 85/6, it seemed like the game will get over in a hurry. But captain Farhan Yousaf single-handedly kept them in the hunt with a superb fifty. Wasn't enough in the end.

Manny Lumsden to Momin Qamar, out Ali Raza Run Out!! Such silly play from Raza. He'll be wishing that the ground opens up and he can hide. Has been run out because he wanted to evade the throw and allowed the ball to go through to the keeper before getting inside the crease. By the time he does get inside the crease, the bails are off. Can't imagine the spray he'll be given from the coaches. Ali Raza run out (Ben Mayes/Thomas Rew) 1(3)
