Muhammad Waseem | UAE captain: "To be honest, situation was very simple. I went inside also in the break and I talked to them. You keep believing in yourself and they shown the world the ability of them and the way Shoaib and Aryansh played. I'm very happy for them. (what you have to improve as a side?) I think we have to improve our batting in the middle overs from 7 to 15, 16th over. I think there we have to look after. So, in the upcoming games, we will work on that and that is the one part of the game where we have to work. (on Siddique) Yeah very happy for him. Dilpreet Bajwa | Canada captain: "Yeah, we were expecting 160-170, but I think the early wicket we lost cost us the game again. So we were happy with 150. We knew that it's going to be hard to chase like 150 in second inning. But yeah, I think what Shoaib and Aryan I think they played well. (on the dew) I think dew factor always helps this chase, but we thought that's not going to come here. But yeah, I think it helped them. (on their spinners) Yeah, I think when we were getting wickets, we didn't manage continuing getting wickets. So I think that way we lacked, I think our fast bowlers didn't bowl to their plans. I think they lacked that as well, so that cost us the game. (on the next games in Chennai) Yeah, I think spinners and our middle order are doing very well. So we're just expecting our top order batsmen to get some runs there and our fast bowlers to get back to their lines and stuff."

Junaid Siddique | Player of the Match: "Pitch was good and we worked with our coaches how to bowl in this conditions. I came for, I wanted to hit on the hard length areas. I want to, try and mix up with the slower balls and that's it. (what pleased you the most?) Yeah, I was, you know, trying to bowl some of quicker balls and then go for my best slower balls, into the wickets and you know, I get success. (on what was a comfortable score to chase?) Yeah, you know, in first inning, we were thinking they might be, you know, going for 160, 170. We bowled very well in the last few overs and we were, that 150 was a chaseable total."

It looked the chase was going away after they slipped to 66/4 with their skipper, Muhammad Wasim not making many. Aryansh though held one end up but the required rate was always going up till Shoaib joined him. Shoaib played the defining knock of the day with a 29-ball 51 which had 4 sixes and 4 fours to boot.
