SUMMARY

He came into the scene very late, but he perished very quickly too. Making his debut at the age of 25 in 2007, Palani Amarnath played Rani Trophy cricket for Tamil Nadu. His produced a career best 5/60 in just his third match and was one of the fastest bowlers in the state.

Hailing from Vellore, the right-handed pacer moved to Chennai after being picked in a talent hunt competition. He also represented the Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural edition of the IPL. However, he did not play first-class cricket since the 2008-09 Ranji season.

However, he continues to feature in a few List-A and T20 games for Tamil Nadu.
