SUMMARY

A right-arm pacer, who hit the deck hard, Andrew Penn finished as an under-performer on the international stage. He was handed his ODI debut against Sri Lanka at Wellington in 1997. He was also selected for the Pepsi Independence Cup, wherein he generously leaked runs. In light of his poor displays, he was jettisoned from the side. He came back into the team in 2000 and later in 2001 but the outcome was no different on both the occasions. He was a good bowler at the lower level, gaining 250+ first-class wickets.

Injuries coupled with loss of enthusiasm prompted Penn to retire from all forms of cricket in 2004. Penn now works as a solicitor in property and commercial law.
