What Deshpande did before he was caught short has to be explained here, he was looking back, taking it easy with his back turned to the ball, then as the throw came in, he tried to avoid getting hit, allows the ball to go the keeper by taking the bat away from the line of the throw, easy passage for the ball as Rakshith is quick with his work.
