PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's it for this one. We have the league stages done and dusted. Now on to playoffs. See you there. Bye for now.
Leus du Plooy | Player of the Match: Yeah, I think the plan was pretty simple from the coaches there. It's just to try and take it as deep as possible. We knew that when we have wickets in hand on a wicket like that, it makes it a tad easier. But yeah, I'm just so fortunate to be playing this tournament again. Absolutely love playing at Paarl. It's a great crowd and yeah, I'm just super stoked. (how did he plan his innings?) Absolutely, and I can only put it down to having played here before, has really helped me. You know, in the past, I think when you face a few dot balls here, you can almost feel like you're suffocating a little bit. But yeah, having played here before, you know that it's almost normal and you can always catch up towards the backend there. (on others' contributions) Absolutely, you know, young Neil Timmers stepping up today. That 30-odd gave us, you know, one of our best powerplays that we've ever had in the SA20 at Paarl. So that gave us a little bit of a platform and, you know, even just Matthew de Villiers, that little partnership that we had in the middle there was crucial for us, setting it up in the end. And then obviously, Forrester came in there, he's been in impeccable form. He strikes it beautifully and, you know, every single run that we got there was crucial in the end. (on the Eliminator) Yeah, spot on. I mean, what a pleasure. We get to go again. Same team, like you say, different conditions, but yeah, we get to go again, which is very pleasing.
James Vince | JSK captain: Lots of relief as well. Obviously a do-or-die game. We've had a bit of a tough run, our last chance this evening to be able to come out and put in a performance like that and get the job done. Obviously delighted that we remain in the competition. Yeah they did. Batting first, you've obviously got to assess conditions, so you haven't had a look at what's going on. So, you know, bide your time, try and sum up what a good score is. And, you know, the way Leus finished the innings, his whole innings to strike at 200 on that was outstanding and got us to a score that was obviously defendable on a wicket that didn't didn't rag sideways, but, you know, all the batters kind of fed back. It was a little bit inconsistent. And there's only really a couple of guys that were able to consistently strike the ball tonight. So I thought the bowlers did a fantastic job in restricting them to what we did. (plan in the bowling innings?) The feedback from the guys that spent time in the middle was, you know, top of the stumps was effective. Little bit of variable bounce. Obviously the wind plays a big factor here. So trying to be maybe a little bit more defensive minded with the seamers bowling with the breeze behind them. And the spinners did a fantastic job from the other end. So, yeah, all-round a very good performance. And as I say, delighted that we're still in the competition. (on the Eliminator) Yeah, great. As I say, great to be in the competition, going back to conditions a bit more familiar to us. So, yeah, enjoy the win and hopefully, yeah, come back strong next game.
David Miller | Paarl Royals captain: (on how's his injury?) I don't know. We'll see tomorrow when I pick up, but yeah, obviously not ideal. (was the score chaseable at half-time?) Definitely. You know, it always gets better here at night, but I think, you know, looking at the situation where we were, I thought they maybe scored 25 runs too many. But that's the way it goes and I still thought it was definitely gettable. As I said, it gets better at night, but lost a few wickets at the wrong times and obviously cost us. (on the Eliminator) Yeah completely. We've done well up in the Highveld this year. So, feeling pretty good, when saying that, and I think the guys have been phenomenal this season and we've got to be really proud of what we've put in in, in the group phases. And now it's obviously playoffs. So we, we shift our minds to that and I really, really have full faith that the boys will come through in a couple of days' time. (on the crowd here) Obviously always really thankful for everyone coming out and supporting us over the last month. It's really special playing in front of everyone. It really gets us going. And after that first loss, 49 all-out, I think everyone kind of wrote us off, but we really bounced back nicely and thanks to everyone again. I really appreciate it. And look forward to seeing everyone next year.
21:02 Local Time, 19:02 GMT, 00:32 IST: JSK are into the playoffs and Paarl lose a chance to finish in the top-two. These two sides will clash in the Eliminator again. JSK win with a bonus point too. Just two notable contributions from Lhuan-dre Pretorious and Dan Lawrence, apart from that none of the Paarl batters stuck around. And the spinners were outstanding for JSK. Subrayen set the tone with Tribe's wicket and then Tahir was excellent in the middle overs. Hosein gave away runs but got the big wicket of Lawrence. All the five bowlers used finished with wickets. Miller not batting was a huge loss for Paarl. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...

Nandre Burger to Nqobani Mokoena, out Caught by Michael Pepper!! Excellent tag-team effort from JSK. It was six but deep mid-wicket leaps and catches to his left, realises he is going over so lobs it to Pepper close to him, he dives forward and takes it. Was a short of length delivery on off, Nqobani Mokoena goes on the back foot and pulls, was close to six but Matthew de Villiers did so well, took it two-handed and lobbed it back.
