PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's it for now. We will be back with more ILT20 action tomorrow. Do join us then. For now it's bye bye.
David Payne | Player of the Match: Well, we're making it a pretty regular thing, so it's becoming the normal, really. Yeah, no, I think it was a game that ebbed and flowed again, it felt like we were kind of holding onto it at the end, waiting for them to come at the end. And then when they did, Lockie took a few wickets, we got on top and then Rashid Khan made it a very close game at the end, so probably a good one for the neutral. (on using the cross-seamers) The communication is always key between our bowling pack and that's exactly what it was. Sam actually, after his over, was like bowl cross-seam, there was definitely a little bit of stick, some skidding, some sticking, so that two-paced nature just made it difficult to play the cross-bat shot. So, a nice simple plan into the pitch and yeah, it worked in there. (cutters as well?) I throw the cutter in every time. So, yeah, a mixture.
Lockie Ferguson | Desert Vipers captain: Too early in the tournament to be saying that, I think we've had a couple of close ones, which you don't always want to have, but nice to get over the line tonight. (on how they won) The boys just hanging in there. I think there's clear communication from all the bowlers, which is one of our real strengths from last season we've brought into this year, and saying the obvious. And we could see that the cross-seamers were working well, and we managed to get a few wickets, particularly Payne, he held it together. Exactly, yeah. Payne's probably the most experienced at kind of working with that big boundary, and taking pace off the ball, and then getting the cross-seam to stand up a bit. So, yeah, real proud of him. (on Aravind) 100 per cent, yeah. I mean, that's the thing about Vriitya, he plays every ball as it comes, and mistakes happen, but, you know, obviously a huge moment for him. He was great for us last game, last night, and again, he stepped up tonight with a cameo run there, so real stoked for him.
Kieron Pollard | MIE captain: Obviously, if you look back at the last game we played here, we snuck over the line where we shouldn't have, and we came back and turned it around and found ourselves on the wrong side today. Obviously, with the ball, I thought the bowlers were brilliant restricting them to 159. The way that we played, I think we didn't play that last five overs particularly well. Not even the last five, but I'd say the last two overs. Run-a-ball in the last three overs, I think is something that more often than not you should win, but it continues to show Cricket, once you stay in the fight, you can end up on the losing side, and that's what happened to us tonight. (on the surface) I thought it was a good cricket wicket. There was something for the bowlers, there was something for the batters. If you put your head down and you apply yourself, you're going to score runs. It was a big old outfield. You hit the gaps, you run hard, you get your boundary. For me, you're not going to get a good cricket wicket. Honestly, I hate to hear people talk about the pitch, it's like that with professionals, we have to adapt to certain things. Definitely on our side, we can't look at the pitch, we have to look at ourselves. Four guys getting caught in the deep, the big side. I think, again, you can't hide from that fact, and that's exactly why you're going to lose again.
22:14 Local Time, 18:14 GMT, 23:44 IST: So nearly a Super Over two nights in a row. Aravind who was the villain off the penultimate delivery turns out to the hero off the last. Fourth win in a row for the Vipers. Heartbreak for MIE. They were cruising with Pollard and Dhillon going strong. Ferguson got Dhillon in the 18th over and a sensational 19th over from Payne which saw three wickets and just one run turned the tables totally in the Vipers' favor. Rashid Khan nearly did it for MIE with a six and a four in the last over but it was Aravind who had the final say. Earlier Waseem, Banton and Pooran all got starts but they didn't kick on, as they allowed Vipers to stay afloat. MIE would be very disappointed that they couldn't win a winnable game. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff....

Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, out AM Ghazanfar Run Out!! Aravind hits direct and he breaks MIE hearts. A slower-ball inside the tramline on the off-side, Rashid Khan changes his plan, he backs away outside the leg-stump, misses the drive as he has to reach for it, under the bat it goes, Aravind fields cleanly and under-arms, catches Ghazanfar short with a direct-hit. If there was no direct-hit, this would have gone to a Super Over. The Vipers mob Aravind. Good execution from Khuzaima Tanveer too with so much pressure on him. AM Ghazanfar run out (Aravind) 0(0)
Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!
2 off 1, another discussion between Khuzaima Tanveer and Payne. Lockie has a chat with Sam Curran. Will we have a Super Over twice in a row in two nights?

Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, FOUR, the thick outside-edge runs away, beats Aravind and slips away. A full-toss outside off, Rashid Khan swipes across the line, the thick outside-edge lands in front of Aravind, he can't stop it. Rashid wants the height to be checked on this, did it dip below the waist? Rashid's waist is 1m and this one came at 0.91m, so a fair delivery. The ball went through the hands and nutmegged Aravind
6 off 2, Lockie, Payne have a chat with Khuzaima Tanveer. Will the plan to bowl outside off change? Rashid Khan and Ghazanfar have a chat too. Again Rashid batting outside off.

Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, SIX, that helps him. Standing well outside off, a back of the hand slower-ball outside off, Rashid Khan picks it and pulls it over deep square-leg, meaty hit
12 off 3. The plan is to bowl wide outside off. So Rashid Khan stands on off-stump looking to tackle this line, with middle and leg stumps exposed.
19.3
Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, 2 runs, slower-ball into the wicket outside off, Rashid Khan swipes and the top-edge lands in no-man's land at mid-wicket, Hetmyer rushes in from deep mid-wicket but it's well short of him
19.3
Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, wide, another wide outside off, left alone
15 off 4
19.2
Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, no run, low full-toss on off, Rashid Khan shuffles across to heave, totally miscues it and doesn't carry to Curran at mid-off, who runs in
19.2
Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, wide, this is well wide outside off, left alone
19.1
Khuzaima Tanveer to Rashid Khan, no run, full and just inside the tramline outside off, Rashid Khan goes for a loft over cover, doesn't connect
Khuzaima Tanveer [3.0-0-20-2] is back into the attack
AM Ghazanfar, right handed bat, comes to the crease
