Kieron Pollard: We haven't done well with the bat in the last few games, just need to get better all round performances. I think we conceded 20-25 runs too much at the death, that's where we let the game get away. It is disappointing to lose games, but we need to look at the positives, we've got a few home games now. Let's see what happens
Rovman Powell: There was talk of us not beating TKR in a long time. So we wanted to do that and we came out strong, especially after the powerplay. It is a bit difficult in the morning to bat with the ball nipping around. I knew if we could keep Sunil (Narine) out of the game, we could score runs.
Imad Wasim | Player of the Match: It was a good wicket to bowl. We did well to get 154. They had a star studded batting line-up but we had a plan on how to bowl to them. Our target was to score 140+. We played well in the last game also but could not finish it off, St Lucia were better on that day.
13:40 Local Time, 17:40 GMT, 23:10 IST: Another one sided game in the 2022 Caribbean Premier League. TKR were never really in the chase. They had a tepid start, losing Sunil Narine in the first over. Colin Munro, Tion Webster and Tim Seifert chewed up too many balls. Imad Wasim and Chris Green bowled tight lines, building the pressure in the first half on the chase. TKR were 64/4 after 12 overs, and despite having all the firepower in the middle order with Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard, the pressure was just too much. A timely remainder for all to be a bit more positive early on in the innings, to not leave things too late! Russell was the only player in the middle-order who struck a few meaty blows, but he was knocked over by Imad Wasim. Pooran fell to a peach of a yorker from Amir, and Pollard also couldn't do much. In the end, it was just about going through the motions, as JT claimed a thumping 34-run victory. Plenty to ponder for the 2020 champs TKR, let's see what their skipper has to say during the presentations...
